The term of office of the Town Clerk shall henceforth
be four years instead of two years.
The adoption of the within article is subject
to a referendum to be voted on at the next general election to be
held on November 4, 1969, and shall take effect subject to compliance
with § 23, Subdivision 1, of the Municipal Home Rule Law
and when filed in the office of the Secretary of State, pursuant to
§ 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
