[HISTORY: Adopted by the North Hempstead Town Board 10-17-1972 as
L.L. No. 2, 1972. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Where a group automobile insurance plan has been authorized by the provisions
of an agreement between the Town of North Hempstead and an automobile insurance
company licensed to do business by the Insurance Department of the State of
New York, the Comptroller is hereby authorized to deduct from the
wages or salaries of any officer or employee once each month, or upon such
other periodic basis as the Comptroller may determine, such amounts for the
payment of group automobile premiums as such officer or employee may specify
in writing filed with the Comptroller and to transmit such amounts so deducted
to the insurance company. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn
by such officer or employee at any time upon filing of written notice of such
withdrawal with the Comptroller of the Town of North Hempstead.
This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary
of State.
