No person shall be permitted to be present in,
loiter or make or create unnecessary or unusual noises on any school
grounds, including lawns, buildings, playground areas or parking areas
forming a part of or used in connection with any school, in the Township
of Maplewood between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., unless
such activity is part of a meeting or event scheduled and specifically
authorized by the Board of Education of South Orange - Maplewood or
the administration of the school.
Every member of the Police Department of the
township and/or other officials charged with enforcement within the
township are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to enforce
this article by arresting all persons who refuse to remove themselves
after being requested to do so from said school grounds.
Any person who shall violate this article shall
be subject to, upon conviction, a fine not exceeding $200.

It shall be unlawful for any person over the
age of 18 to assist, aid, abet, allow, permit, suffer or encourage
a student to register or enroll in the South Orange Maplewood School
District where the student is ineligible to attend.
It shall be unlawful for any person over the
age of 18 to knowingly permit his or her name, address or other residence
designating documentation to be utilized in the registration or enrollment
of any nonresident student in the South Orange Maplewood School District.
Any person violating or failing to comply with
the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be
sentenced to make restitution to the Township of Maplewood or the
South Orange Maplewood Board of Education and pay a fine of not more
than $1,000. In determining the amount of restitution, the Court shall
include the amounts incurred by the Township of Maplewood and/or the
South Orange Maplewood Board of Education, including but not limited
to tuition costs, investigation expenses and attorneys' fees.
Restitution ordered by the Maplewood Municipal
Court shall be converted into a lien against the property of the offending
party.
