A. In accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 43:12-28.1 et seq.,
as amended, a pension shall be paid to the widow or to the minor children
of a volunteer who has died or shall have died as a result of injuries
sustained in the course of performance of duty as a member of any
Dumont volunteer fire company or Dumont volunteer ambulance service
organized, existing and recognized within the Borough. Such pension
shall be in the sum set by law, N.J.S.A. 43:12-28.2, annually and
shall be paid to the widow, during their widowhood, or to the minor
child or children of such volunteer, if they leave no widow surviving
them; or to such minor child or children after the death of such widow
and until such child or children shall obtain their majority.
B. In accord with N.J.S.A. 43:12-28.1, upon the adoption by the Council
of a resolution determining such death was as a result of injuries
sustained in the course of performance of duty, a certified copy of
same shall be transmitted by the Clerk to the State Treasurer within
10 days of adoption.
