No licensee shall sell, serve, deliver or allow, permit or suffer the sale, service or delivery of any alcoholic beverage or allow the consumption of any alcoholic beverage on any licensed premises during the following hours:
A. 
On New Year's Day, when it is a weekday, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

B. 
On New Year's Day, when it is a Sunday, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

C. 
On other weekdays, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
D. 
On other Sundays, between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Notwithstanding the provisions of § 108-17, a plenary retail distribution licensee and a limited retail distribution licensee may sell, deliver or allow, permit or suffer the sale or delivery of any alcoholic beverage on the following days during the following hours:
A. 
On Christmas Eve, when it is on a Sunday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
B. 
On New Year's Eve, when it is on a Sunday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

During the hours that sales are prohibited by § 108-17, the entire licensed premises shall also be closed; provided, however, that hotels, restaurants as defined in N.J.S.A. 33:1-1t and other establishments where the principal business is other than the sale of alcoholic beverages may remain open during the prohibited hours of sale for purposes of such other business only.
