The regular meetings shall be held on the days
set by the Board of Health at its annual reorganization meeting and
held each quarterly at the Borough Hall at 7:30 p.m. and at such other
times and places as the Board may direct.
Special meetings may be called at any time by
the President or upon request of four members of the Board.
Four members of the Board shall constitute a
quorum for the transaction of business by the Board.
The officers of the Board of Health shall be
the President, Vice President and Secretary.
At the annual reorganization meeting, or as
soon thereafter as possible, the president will appoint the following
committees and any other committee he or she feels necessary to carry
out the proper functioning of his or her office, each to serve for
one year:
The President shall preside at all meetings
of the Board and appoint all committees and offer all appointments
for confirmation by the Board of Health. In the absence of the President,
the Vice President shall preside. During the intervals between regular
meetings, the President will represent the Board in all judicial matters;
in his or her absence, the Vice President.
The Health Officer, Sanitary and Plumbing Inspector,
shall make a written report at each regular meeting. It shall be the
duty of the Health Officer to bring to the attention of the Board
any matter that may be prejudicial to the health of the Borough. He
or she shall perform such other duties as may be directed by the Board.
The counsel shall be the legal advisor of the
Board, shall represent the Board in all litigation in which the Board
may be a party and perform all other such services as shall from time
to time be required of him or her by the Board or Health Officer in
the performance of his or her duty.
The Board shall have the power to employ such
additional services as it may deem necessary and shall also delegate
discretionary authority to the Health Officer to employ such services
as may be needed in case of emergency.
At the meetings of the Board, the order of business
shall be as follows:
