The purpose of this chapter is to establish a Petty Cash Fund, together with a Travel and Expense Fund and a Miscellaneous Cash Refund Fund, for the Village of Rouses Point, New York, in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PETTY CASH FUND, TRAVEL AND EXPENSE FUND, MISCELLANEOUS CASH REFUND FUND
A fund or funds established in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and all other state and local laws of the Village of Rouses Point.
VILLAGE
The Village of Rouses Point.
It is hereby established that the Village of Rouses Point shall be allowed to establish a Petty Cash, Travel and Expense and Miscellaneous Cash Refund Fund in the sum of $500, with the specific provision that when any funds are ever used from said Petty Cash, Travel and Expense and Miscellaneous Cash Refund Fund, they will be reimbursed and repaid to the fund, if reimbursement and repayment is appropriate, within 10 days after the date of the withdrawal of said funds from the respective fund.

It is further specifically provided that the Village shall have the authority to deduct from any employee's salary the necessary amount over the necessary period of time to repay the unpaid and uncanceled portion of the advance made from the fund herein established.
The purpose of these cash funds and advances is to provide the necessary moneys for any employee to pay anticipated expenses in connection with Village business duties and/or activities. It is specifically provided, however, that the only loan granted from the fund herein established shall be made to properly authorized Village employees and in connection with future expenses that the employee will incur for the Village.
A violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as provided for by the laws of the State of New York.
