A. 
Subject to the provisions of this chapter, an Inspector or Chief Official may, for the purpose of inspecting a building or site in respect to which a permit is issued or an application for a permit is made, enter in or upon any land or premises at any time without a warrant.

Where an Inspector or Chief Official finds that any provision of this chapter or the Code is being contravened, he may give to the person whom he believes to be the contravener an order, in writing, directing compliance with such provision and may require the order to be carried out forthwith or within such time as he specifies.
C. 
Where an Inspector or Chief Official gives an order under this section, the order shall be in writing and shall contain sufficient information to specify the nature of the contravention and its location.
D. 
Where an Inspector or Chief Official gives an order under this section, he may affix a copy thereof to the site of the construction or demolition or activity, and no person, except an Inspector or Chief Official, shall remove such copy unless authorized by the Inspector or Chief Official.
E. 
Where an order of an Inspector or Chief Official made under this section is not complied with within the time specified therein or, where no time is specified, within a reasonable time in the circumstances, the Chief Official may order that all or any part of the construction of the building or demolition respecting the building or structure or other activity which contravenes this chapter cease, and such order shall be served personally as required by this chapter on such persons affected thereby in such manner as the Chief Official specifies, and a copy thereof shall be posted on the site of the construction or demolition or other activity, and no person except an Inspector or the Chief Official shall remove such copy unless authorized by an Inspector or Chief Official.
F. 
Where an order to cease construction or demolition or other activity is made under this section, no person shall perform any act in the construction of the building or demolition of the building or structure or other activity in respect to which the order is made other than such work as is necessary to carry out the order of the Inspector made under this section.
A. 
An Inspector or Chief Official may issue an order prohibiting the covering or enclosing of any part of a building pending inspection, and where such an order is issued, an inspection shall be made within a reasonable time after oral or written notice is given to the Chief Official by the person to whom the order is issued that he is ready for the inspection. Said written notice need not comply with the mailing requirements of other provisions of this chapter if same is delivered to or mailed by ordinary mail to the Chief Official or respective Inspector.
B. 
Where a Chief Official has reason to believe that any part of a building has not been constructed in compliance with this chapter, and such part has been covered or enclosed contrary to any order made by an Inspector or Chief Official under this section, he may order any person responsible for the construction to uncover the part at his own expense for the purpose of an inspection.
C. 
Subsections D, E and F of § 72-10 shall apply to an order made under this section.
