[Adopted as §§ 2-11-1 through 2-11-4 of the 1972 Code (Ch. 2, Art. IV, Div. 1, § 2-91, of the 1990 Code of Ordinances)]
The following Town officials shall be bonded by the Town with a surety company authorized to transact business in the state in the following penal sums:
A. 
Tax Collector: $20,000.
B. 
Treasurer: $100,000.
C. 
Town Clerk: $1,000.
D. 
All other employees (blanket bond) except Councilmen, members of School Board and employees of the School Department: $2,500.
The cost of such bonds shall be borne by the Town.
The sureties on each bond shall be approved by the director of finance before the officer enters upon the duties of his office.
The bond of the Director of Finance shall be made to the Town and all other bonds unless otherwise provided shall be made to the Director of Finance of the Town. The bond of the Director of Finance shall be deposited with and safely kept by the Town Clerk and all other bonds shall be deposited with and safely kept by the Director of Finance.
