[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees

No person or persons, corporation or association
shall engage in the business commonly known as the "junk business"
on the streets or public places in the Village of Valley Stream without
first procuring from the Village Clerk an annual license therefor.
The annual license fee for such business shall be $15. All licenses
shall be issued as of March 1 and shall expire on the last day of
February next succeeding the date of issuance.
The license mentioned in the preceding section
of this chapter may be suspended or revoked at any time by the Board
of Trustees, if such licensee shall violate any of the provisions
or any other ordinance of the Village of Valley Stream.

Every violation of the provisions of this chapter,
or any part thereof, shall be punishable by a fine or penalty not
exceeding $2,000 and/or 15 days in jail for each offense. Said violation
shall constitute and is hereby declared disorderly conduct, and any
person violating this chapter or any provisions thereof shall be and
hereby is declared a disorderly person.
