No person or persons, firm, association or corporation
shall exhibit for money or hire any theatrical presentation or feats
of horsemanship, circus, caravan of animals or any animals or artificial
curiosity, or give any show, exhibitions or performance, except motion
pictures or moving-picture shows, or furnish music with hand organ
or any other musical instrument without obtaining a license thereof.
The Mayor is hereby empowered to issue such license to the person
applying therefor, in form and manner provided by law, and to specify
therein the name of the Village, a proper license fee. The license
fees under the provisions of this chapter are fixed at $10 for each
day of each exhibition or performance. Every such license shall be
countersigned by the Clerk and have endorsed thereon the receipt of
the Treasurer showing the payment to him of such fee.

Any person, firm, association or corporation
violating this chapter, or any part thereof, shall be liable for and
forfeit and pay a penalty of $2,500 and/or 15 days in jail for each
violation thereof, for the use of the Village. Any violation of this
chapter or any part thereof shall constitute disorderly conduct, and
any person violating this chapter or any part thereof shall be and
is hereby declared a disorderly person.
