§ 211-1 Prohibited conduct; exceptions.

A. 
No person shall engage in the practice of, or conduct a business for, piercing, scarring or branding the body of a human being.
B. 
No person shall give away or sell or offer to give away or sell any device or method or combination thereof designed or intended to be used for the purpose of creating a hole through, perforating, piercing, scarring or branding any part of the body of a human being.
C. 
The prohibitions set forth in Subsection A shall not apply to:
(1) 
A duly licensed physician; or
(2) 
A duly licensed registered nurse who performs the piercing, scarring or branding under the direct control and supervision of a licensed physician.

§ 211-2 Violations and penalties.

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both.
