The General Court of the State of New Hampshire has
amended RSA 76:13 (supp) to allow for the waiver of interest charges
of less than $5 on certain unpaid taxes.
Said procedure requires approval of the City Council
before such interest may be waived.
The City Tax Collector is forever hereafter
empowered to waive such charges as provided by statute whenever he
or she deems it expedient or just to do so.
