Borough of Hillsdale, NJ Article XII Assistant Code Compliance Officer

§ 51-49 Position created.

The position of Assistant Code Compliance Officer is hereby created within the Borough of Hillsdale.

§ 51-50 Appointment.

The Assistant Code Compliance Officer shall be appointed by the governing body.

§ 51-51 Term.

The Assistant Code Compliance Officer shall serve at the pleasure of the governing body.

§ 51-52 Responsibilities.

The responsibilities of the position of Assistant Code Compliance Officer include but are not limited to:

A. Assisting the Code Compliance Officer to manage the Interlocal Code Office and the Department's operations.

B. Interacting with the boards and officials of the participating municipalities.

C. Reviewing and/or approving construction, site and other plans.

D. Performing inspections.

E. Interacting with residents, contractors, vendors, etc.

§ 51-53 Compensation.

The compensation for the Assistant Code Compliance Officer shall be established by ordinance.

§ 51-54 Absence of Code Compliance Officer.

In the absence of the Code Compliance Officer, the Assistant Code Compliance Officer shall perform all the duties of the Code Compliance Office.
