The provisions of this chapter shall be administered and enforced
by the Land Use Officer of the Borough or his or her designated assistant.
In no case shall a permit be granted for the construction or alteration
of any building or other structure if the proposed construction, alteration
or use thereof would be in violation of any provision in this chapter.
It shall be the duty of the Land Use Officer or his or her designated
assistant to cause any building or other structure, lands or premises
to be inspected or examined and to order, in writing, the remedying
of any conditions found to exist in violation of any provision of
this chapter. He or she shall have the right in accordance with law
to enter any building or premises during reasonable daytime hours
in the course of his or her duties. It shall also be the duty of the
members of the Police, Fire, Public Works Departments, the Board of
Health and the Environmental Commission to report to the Land Use
Officer any violations they may observe.
