Outlet ditches are those ditches needed and
maintained for the drainage of county roads. A right-of-way providing
necessary space for maintaining the ditch shall be provided by the
property owners. Upon receipt of the drainage right-of-way easement
agreement by the County Roads Board, it shall be recorded.
Pipe cost shall be at the property owner's expense.
Installation shall be made by the County Roads Board at its cost and
thereafter maintained by the County. Size of pipe, including diameter
and length, is to be determined by the Dorchester County Roads Board
with assistance from the Dorchester County Soil Conservation District.
If replacement pipe is longer than the original pipe, then the additional
footage shall be paid for by the property owner.
Pipes in outlet ditches where right-of-way easement
agreements have not been recorded are to be installed and/or maintained
by the property owner at the property owner's expense.
