After removal of any vehicle as provided by
this article, the Police Department may arrange to have such vehicle
stored at a tow/storage facility at the expense of the owner. The
owner or other person legally entitled to the possession of such vehicle
may be charged with a reasonable cost for the removal and storage,
payable to the tow/storage company before the vehicle is released.
The Police Department shall without delay ascertain
to the extent possible the owner of the vehicle or person having the
same in charge, and notify him of the removal and disposition of such
vehicle and of the amount which will be required to redeem the same.
