The Borough of Waynesboro discontinues the operation of the "Borough Farm" as a farm and for farming purposes.
The said "Borough Farm" shall be used as and for a recreation place subject to present usage for Sewer Disposal Plant.
A municipal golf course, swimming pool, Little League ball diamond and other recreational facilities shall be constructed, operated and maintained on said "Borough Farm" for the use and benefit of the citizens of the Borough of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
Existing buildings and structures on said Farm shall be utilized for recreation and other municipal purposes.
The Borough of Waynesboro is authorized to accept grants, contributions and devises for use in the construction, operation and maintenance of said recreation place and its facilities and to deposit the same in a special fund designated Borough of Waynesboro Recreation Fund.
For the purpose of constructing, operating and maintaining said recreation place and its facilities the Borough of Waynesboro is authorized to expend funds from the general fund at such times and in such amounts as shall be provided in appropriate enabling ordinances.
Revenue received from the operation of said recreation place and its facilities shall be paid into the general fund.
The authority to operate, supervise and maintain all playgrounds, playfields, gymnasiums, swimming pools, parks and any indoor recreation centers sponsored by the Borough Council, is hereby vested in the Waynesboro Memorial Park Association, all in accordance with Article 27, Section 2719 of the Borough Code as approved by Act of Assembly May 4, 1927 P.L. 519, 53 P.S. § 14919.[1] This vesting of authority to become effective January 1, 1946.
