As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BLASTING MATERIAL
Includes any agent or mixture consisting of a fuel and oxidizer intended for blasting, and shall include any chemical compound or mixture the primary purpose of which is to function by explosion, including but not limited to explosives, dynamite caps, blasting caps, black powder, pellet powders, initiating explosives, electric blasting caps, safety fuses, fuse igniters, fuse lighters, squibs, cordeau detonant fuses, instantaneous fire igniter cords and igniters, explosive power packs, explosive charges, rivets and bolts for driving pins or studs, cartridges for explosive-activated power tools and charges of explosive used in furnaces and oil well casings.
PERSON
Includes a corporation, a joint-stock association and a partnership, as well as an individual, as the case may be.
No person shall store in any building or structure or upon any premises any blasting material.
No blasting shall be conducted except on prior notification to and written approval by the Mayor of the Village of Belle Terre or his authorized representative.
A. 
Each and every violation of the foregoing shall, upon conviction, be punishable by a fine of not to exceed $1,000 or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
B. 
Each day that a violation of this chapter occurs or continues shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.
