As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS
Any liquid having a flash point below 200° F. and liquids with flash points above 200° F. which, when heated, assume the characteristics of liquids with flash points below 200° F.
PERSON
Includes a corporation, a joint-stock association and a partnership, as well as an individual, as the case may be.
No person shall store in any building or structure or upon any premises any flammable liquids. This chapter shall not apply to the storage of flammable liquids:
A. 
In the fuel tanks of motor vehicles, motorboats, heating plants, outboard motors or agricultural or other machinery or equipment.
B. 
In closed metal containers for use in any of the apparatus or vehicles described in the foregoing subsection or for use in painting, provided that the flammable liquids stored do not exceed five gallons.
A. 
The violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
B. 
Each day that a violation of this chapter occurs or continues shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.
