As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PERSON
Includes a corporation, a joint-stock association and a partnership, as well as an individual, as the case may be.
Unless a written permit has been duly and jointly issued by the Mayor of the Village of Belle Terre and by the Suffolk County Water Authority, no person shall connect to any fire hydrants. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the Port Jefferson Fire Department when it is supplying fire protection.
A. 
The violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
B. 
Each day that a violation of this chapter occurs or continues shall constitute a separate and distinct violation.
