All present members of the Police Department of the Township of Tinicum and all persons who shall hereafter be hired and employed by the Township of Tinicum as police officers shall at all times during their employment establish and maintain a bona fide, factual, legal residence (domicile) within the geographic limits of the Township of Tinicum.
Any police officer presently employed by the Township of Tinicum who does not reside and live within the geographic limits of the Township of Tinicum shall be given six months from the date of this article to meet the residential requirements of this article.
The failure of any member of the Police Department of the Township of Tinicum to maintain or establish his residence in the Township of Tinicum as required by this article shall, at the discretion of the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Tinicum, constitute cause for the suspension of said police officer until such time as he shall establish and maintain his residence as required or constitute cause for the dismissal of said police officer from the Police Department of the Township of Tinicum.
