It is necessary for the Township to accept bank
checks from individuals and businesses in the course of transacting
the business of the municipality. On the occasions when a bank check
is accepted by the Township and the check is not paid and returned
for nonsufficient funds, the municipality is caused to expend administrative
fees and costs.

A charge of $20 per check will be assessed to
any business, entity, partnership, corporation or person who passes
a check to the municipality and that check is subsequently not honored
for payment.
