There is hereby established a notification procedure for utility companies to notify the Township Code Official prior to commencing any utility work.
The purpose of the notification is to require utility companies to adequately notify the Township when it places, replaces, or removes utility poles or underground facilities on a public right-of-way. The utility company shall notify the licensed municipal code official at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of work.
After completing the placement, replacement or removal of such poles or underground facilities, the public utility shall remove from such right-of-way any pole no longer in use as well as any other debris created from such placement, replacement or removal. The utility company shall be required to restore the property within the right-of-way to its previous condition as much as possible.

If the utility company fails to remove old poles or debris within 90 days after completing the placement, replacement or removal of poles, the aforesaid utility company shall be fined up to a maximum of $100 per day until the said removal is completed.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the siting of poles, cabinets and antennas within the municipal right-of-way of the Township of Manchester is subject to the issuance of a right-of-way permit pursuant to Article VII of Chapter 372 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of Manchester.
