Where public sewerage services are not available to a property owner as defined under Article
I, §
340-1, of this Part
1, the building sewer shall be connected to an individual sewage disposal system complying with the provisions of this article.
Before commencement of construction of an individual
sewage disposal system and building sewer, the owner shall obtain
a written permit signed by the Enforcement Officer. The application
for such permit shall be made on a form furnished by the Borough,
which the applicant shall supplement with any plans, specifications
or other information deemed necessary by the Enforcement Officer.
A permit and inspection fee of $25 shall be
paid to the Borough at the time the application is filed.
A permit for an individual sewage disposal system
and building sewer shall not become effective until the installation
is completed to the satisfaction of the Enforcement Officer. He shall
be permitted to inspect the work at any stage of construction, and
the permit holder shall notify him when the work is ready for final
inspection, and before any underground portions are covered.
The type, capacities, location and layout of
an individual sewage disposal system and the building sewer shall
comply with the recommendations of the Enforcement Officer, rules
and regulations of the Authority and of the Department, and applicable
statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
