[Amended 9-15-1980]
In accordance with Chapter VII, § C7-5 of the Charter, there shall be a Fire Department, to be headed by the Fire Chief. Within the Department, in addition to the actual Fire Department proper, there shall be the following divisions:
A.
Division of Fire Prevention, to be headed by the Fire
Marshal.
In accordance with the Charter and this chapter,
the City Manager shall appoint and may remove the Fire Chief and the
Fire Marshal.
The Fire Department and the Division of Fire
Prevention shall have the powers and duties assigned to them by statute,
the Charter, this chapter, other legislation or the City Manager.
