Editor's Note: An ordinance adopted 11-4-1996
repealed former §§ 3-28 and 3-29, which pertained to
the Department of Parks and Recreation, and renumbered Arts. XIII
and XIV as Arts. XII and XIII.
There is hereby established a Department of
Civil Preparedness, which shall be headed by the Director of Civil
Preparedness. Said Department shall be responsible for such duties
as may be assigned by statute, the Charter, this chapter or other
legislation approved by the Council.
In accordance with the Charter and this chapter,
the City Manager shall appoint and may remove the Director of Civil
Preparedness.
