A.
The
Board of Trustees of the Village of Hewlett Bay Park may, by resolution,
authorize the issuance of appearance tickets by one or more public
servants designated by virtue of office, title or position.
B.
Such
public servants so authorized may issue such appearance tickets for
the purpose of enforcement of any statute, local law, ordinance, rule
or regulation relating to parks, parking, licensing of occupations
or businesses, fire prevention and safety, health and sanitation and
building, zoning and planning.
C.
In
addition to the public servants so authorized and such persons as
otherwise may be authorized by law to issue appearance tickets, a
peace officer may issue an appearance ticket relating to enforcement
of any statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation affecting
the public health, safety or welfare.
Any local law, ordinance, or resolution of the Village of Hewlett
Bay Park in conflict with this chapter is hereby repealed to the extent
of such conflict, except that such repeal shall not affect or prevent
the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed
in violation of such local law, ordinance or resolution prior to the
effective date of this chapter.
