It shall be unlawful for any corporation, association, partnership or individuals to hereafter construct, erect or string above ground in any street, avenue or highway in the Village of Hewlett Bay Park any telephone, telegraph or electric current poles or wires or any other pole or poles of any description for any purpose whatever.

This chapter shall not be deemed to prevent the erection or maintenance of a flagpole, provided that such flagpole is erected pursuant to a permit granted pursuant to the Building Construction Code,[1] and further provided that such flagpole shall not exceed 35 feet in height.
