It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation or
their agents governed by this chapter to perform any plumbing work
or to effect any installation or alteration of a plumbing or heating
system unless a written application describing the proposed work,
installation or alteration in detail has been filed with the Village
Clerk and the required fee established by the Board of Trustees has
been paid and a permit therefor has been issued by the Village Clerk. Such application and permit shall be in addition to any
application or permit required by the Building Zone Ordinance or the
Building Code.

No person shall engage in the business of plumbing within the
village unless such person is licensed or approved by the Town of
Hempstead to engage in such business.

All plumbing and drainage work performed in the village shall
conform to the requirements of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention
and Building Code and all other applicable requirements of law.

All work shall be subject to inspection by the Code Official.
No work shall be covered until it has been inspected and approved
by the Code Official.

No plumbing work or sewer installation or connection shall be
put into use or operation until a certificate of compliance shall
have been issued by the Code Official in the manner provided in the
Building Construction Code. The Building Construction Code shall be
applicable to all plumbing and drainage work performed in the village.
