The Village approves reciprocal agreements for the licensing
of master plumbers dated September 15, 1969, and the reciprocal agreement
for the licensing of master electricians dated September 15, 1969,
which agreements have been entered into by and between the Towns of
Hempstead, North Hempstead and Oyster Bay and other villages in the
County of Nassau.
The Village designates the Town of Hempstead as the municipal
authority which is authorized to conduct examinations for the licenses
of plumbers and electricians and for the issuance of certificates
of competency therefor.
The fee for the issuance of an initial license for a master
plumber or a master electrician who has duly qualified for a certificate
of competency shall be $125, which license shall be renewed annually
on payment of a fee of $25 or as such fees may hereafter be established
by the Town of Hempstead pursuant to law.
The Village hereby recognizes valid certificates of competency
issued to master plumbers by any municipality which is a party to
the reciprocal agreement for licensing of master plumbers dated September
15, 1969, and such licensees shall be deemed competent to conduct
that business in the Village, subject, however, to conformity with
all other provisions of the Plumbing Ordinance of the Village.
