Village of South Floral Park, NY Article VI Deposit of Materials on Streets

§ 178-16 Materials not to be placed on streets.

No person shall cause or permit any accumulation of sand, gravel, cinders, topsoil, mud, earth or other material to be placed, deposited, tracked or flowed upon any Village street.

§ 178-17 Penalties for offenses.

A. Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this article shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.

B. The Village may also maintain an action or proceeding to enjoin the violation and recover the cost incurred by the Village for cleaning, repairing, reconditioning or restoring the road or otherwise remedying the condition.
