No person or persons shall enter upon or within any Town building
or lands while carrying, bearing or being in possession of a firearm,
gun or dangerous weapon of any description, including, but not limited
to, handguns, pistols, target pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns.
This chapter shall in no way abridge or limit the right of any
law enforcement officer, peace officer or Town Justice from possessing
a firearm, gun or dangerous weapon in Town buildings or on Town land.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon
conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation and shall be subject
to the payment of a fine not exceeding $250 or imprisonment for a
period not to exceed 15 days, or both. Each violation shall be considered
a separate and additional violation, notwithstanding the penalty hereinbefore
provided. The Town of Greenville may also enforce obedience of this
resolution or any part thereof by injunction to restrain such violations.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
The Town of Greenville Town Board.
Any building, structure or parcel of land owned or leased
by the Town of Greenville.
