The Common Council, pursuant to § 467 of the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York,[1] establishes the real property tax exemption for qualifying persons in the City of Kingston as follows:

The Common Council, pursuant to § 467, Subdivision 5, of the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York, authorizes the City of Kingston Assessor to allow senior citizens who become 65 after the taxable status date of March 1 but on or before December 31 of the same calendar year/roll year to become eligible for the senior real property tax exemption.
