The Police Department of Mount Wolf Borough is abolished as of 12:00 midnight, December 31, 1982.
A Police Department to be known as the "Northeastern Regional Police Department" is hereby given jurisdiction and authority in and for the Borough of Mount Wolf, York County, Pennsylvania, with regard to police matters.

The Northeastern Regional Police Department shall be under the general supervision of a Joint Police Advisory Board established under an agreement entered into by the sponsoring municipalities of the Northeastern Regional Police Department.

The Chief of Police shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Police Department, and he shall be under the direction of the Joint Police Advisory Board. Under the direction of said Joint Police Advisory Board, the Chief of Police shall be in charge of the police force and have supervision over its members in the exercise of their powers, duties and authority.
The aforesaid Joint Police Advisory Board shall have the right to establish general operating procedures and the structure of the Northeastern Regional Police Department.

Nothing herein contained shall affect the authority of the Borough of Mount Wolf to appoint special policemen during emergencies.
