No person, firm or corporation shall keep any pig or hog at any place within Vandergrift Borough, nor shall any person, firm or corporation build or maintain any pig pen or hog pen at any place therein. Any pig pen or hog pen within the limits of the Borough is hereby declared to be a public nuisance, and the person, firm or corporation maintaining the same shall, upon notice from the Mayor, remove the same within five days after such notice. In default of such removal, the same shall be removed under the direction of the Mayor, and the cost of such removal, with an additional penalty of 10% thereof, shall be collected by the Borough from such person, firm or corporation.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $50 or more than $600 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than 30 days, provided that such fine and costs may be in addition to any charges imposed under § 142-1 of this article and penalties lawfully added to those charges.
