The department heads of the Borough of Roselle shall be authorized
to reproduce or make copies of public documents upon reasonable request
of interested citizens and to make a reasonable charge therefor, as
follows:
Requests for photographs/Polaroids shall be forwarded to the vendor
who develops photographs for the Department. The applicant shall purchase
the copies from the vendor at the vendor's prevailing fee schedule.

The Roselle Police Department shall charge $5 for the completion
of each set of fingerprints. Excluded from this subsection shall be
the fingerprint applications of those applying for firearms and for
any incident that would be the result of a police investigation.
The charge for copying of an audio- or videotape when a blank
or video tape is supplied by the requester shall be $35, or if no
tape is supplied the charge shall be $50.
For preparing a list of the names and addresses of property owners
in the Borough within a two-hundred-foot radius of the property for
which applicant seeks a variance, $25.
To the extent that the Code Enforcement - Zoning Department provides
the same or similar documents as the Borough Engineer, Code Enforcement
- Zoning shall impose the same charges.
Notwithstanding the fact that a particular service and the attendant
fee is set forth under a departmental heading, any department can
provide the service for the same fee unless by this article, any other
ordinance or statute a different fee is authorized. With respect to
the services set forth below, all departments shall charge the same
fee set forth below.
There shall be, in addition to the standard charge for reproducing
copies of public documents, a fee of $20 for any document which must
be retrieved from the archives. If more than one document is requested
for the same parcel of property or event at the same time, only one
archive fee shall be charged. If the retrieval of the document requires
a search which lasts more than one hour, a fee of $20 per hour shall
be charged. No proration shall be made for less than a full hour.
There shall be, in addition to the standard charge for reproducing
copies of public documents a fee of $15 for any prior approved certificate
of use, certificate of occupancy or permit. No charge other than reproduction
charges shall be exacted where the request is for a current certificate
of occupancy. If more than one document is requested for the same
parcel of property at the same time, only one fee shall be charged.
