This ordinance shall be known as "An Ordinance Authorizing the
Lincoln Police Department to Charge a Fee of $25 for the Service of
Verifying a Vehicle Identification Number."
From and after the effective date of this ordinance, the Lincoln
Police Department is authorized to charge a fee of $25 for the service
of verifying a vehicle identification number ("VIN") for a private
citizen.
The Chief of Police is authorized to promulgate and publish
a form upon which a citizen may request verification of a VIN, and
is further authorized to require a citizen to make the request on
such a form.
