There is hereby established in the Construction Code Department an Office of Inspections which shall be responsible for the following inspection activities of the Town of Secaucus. These inspections shall specifically exclude those designated to the Construction Code Official by statute/Uniform Construction Code and are not subject to delegation by the Construction Code Official. The following inspections/permits shall be governed by this section:
Amusement and Entertainment Device Licensing
Cigarette Vending Machines
Fire Alarms - False Alarms
Gasoline Station - Tank Licenses
Handicapped Restricted Parking Zone Permits
Newsrack Permits
Residential Parking Permits
Sanitary Inspections
Smoke Detectors
Taxicab/Limousine Inspections and Licenses
The Office of Inspections shall be supervised by an Officer of Inspections who shall plan and organize all inspection operations within the office. With regard to any inspection activity related to the Health Codes of the federal, state, county or local government, the Office of Inspections shall also be subject to the input and direction of the Health Officer. The Officer of Inspections shall perform such other duties of like nature as from time to time may be assigned to him/her by the Town Administrator.
The salary for this position shall be set by ordinance and complete job description shall be propagated by the Town Administrator with the consent and approval of the Mayor and Council.

There is hereby established in the Office of Inspections a Director of Office of Inspections who shall be responsible for inspection activities that are presently established in Section 22-1 for the Office of Inspections.
