There shall be the position of Chief Financial Officer, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1 et seq. which term of office shall be for four years, which shall run from January 1st of the year in which the Chief Financial Officer is appointed by the Mayor and Council.
The Chief Financial Officer shall be certified as a Municipal Financial Officer pursuant to Chapter 110 of the Law of New Jersey 1988, and hold a Municipal Financial Officer's Certificate issued by the State of New Jersey. The Chief Financial Officer shall meet and continue to meet all State qualifications and renew certificates as required.
The Chief Financial Officer shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the Mayor and council and/or the Town Administrator.
The salary of the Chief Financial Officer shall be as set forth in the annual Salary Ordinance.
