There shall be created the position of Engineer.
The Engineer shall be appointed by the Mayor and Council. The
term of office shall be at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council.
The Engineer shall be a duly qualified licensed engineer authorized
by the laws of this State to practice his profession in the State
of New Jersey.
The Engineer shall perform and supervise Town engineering work
whenever such engineering services are requested by the Mayor and
Council, the, Town Engineer, and/or the Town Administrator. The Engineer
shall review such files and give recommendations as required by the
Secaucus Board of Adjustment and the Secaucus Planning Board. The
Engineer shall, at the request of the appropriate superior, attend
meetings of said body, and of any agency, body or board of the Town
of Secaucus, give general engineering advice and represent the Town
generally in technical matters that may require the services of an
engineer.
The salary of the Engineer shall be set forth in the annual
Salary Ordinance.
