A. 
All buildings in the Town of Secaucus shall have the numbers of its address prominently displayed within 20 feet of the front of the property. If the numbers are displayed on the door of the property, the numbers must also be displayed at another fixed location within the said 20 feet. The size of all numbers (in numeric form), exclusive of numbers that are placed on a door, shall be as follows:
(1) 
The address numbers of residences shall be no less than three inches in height.
(2) 
The address numbers on stores shall be no less than three inches in height.
(3) 
The business or commercial building street address numbers of business or commercial buildings shall be no less than three inches in height if the building(s) setback is no more than 20 feet, or if the business or commercial building has a front setback of more than 20 feet, the numbers shall be posted within 10 feet of the property line.
(4) 
All numbers required hereunder must be in numeric form.
B. 
Such address numbers shall be bold and prominent and in good repair so that such numbers are clearly visible and unobstructed from the street.
Property owners of multi-family dwellings shall be responsible for complying with this chapter.
The provisions of Article II of this chapter shall be enforced by (1) the Construction Code Official, or (2) such Parking Enforcement Officers as may be designated by the Police Chief.
Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this Article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000. The continuation of such violation for each successive day shall constitute a separate offense, and the person or persons allowing or permitting the continuation of the violation may be punished as provided above for each separate offense.
