Licenses may be issued for games of chance to
be held, operated and conducted within the territorial limits of the
Borough of Montvale on the first day of the week commonly known and
designated as "Sunday," pursuant to all of the applicable terms of
N.J.S.A. 5:8-50 et seq.
Any person, association, corporation or other
entity which shall violate any of the provisions of this article shall
be subject to fine and penalty in accordance with N.J.S.A. 5:8-68.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
This article shall take effect immediately upon
publication and final passage as required by law.

The Borough Clerk is hereby authorized to approve
the granting of raffle and bingo licenses as is provided by law. For
purposes of this article, the Municipal Clerk is now the issuing authority
for bingo and raffle licenses in the Borough of Montvale.
If any section, subsection, paragraph, subdivision,
sentence, clause, phrase or provision of this article shall for any
reason be held unconstitutional or invalid, such adjudication shall
apply only to the section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or
provision so adjudged. The remainder of this article as amended and
supplemented shall be deemed valid and effective.
This article shall take effect upon final passage
and publication as required by law.
