A. 
The speed limit for both directions of traffic along the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule I (included herein as § 430-20 and made a part of this chapter) is hereby established at the rate of speed indicated in said schedule. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle at a higher speed than the maximum prescribed for that street or part of a street.
B. 
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction thereof by a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of $35. Any person exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than five miles per hour shall pay an additional fine of $2 per mile for each mile in excess of five miles per hour over the maximum speed limit.
The intersections described in Schedule II (included herein as § 430-21 and made a part of this chapter) are hereby established as stop intersections, and official stop signs shall be erected (or existing stop signs ratified) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named street on the first-named or stop street in the direction indicated for that intersection. Every driver or operator of a vehicle approaching the first-named or stop street, in the direction indicated, shall stop the vehicle as required by Section 3323(b)[1] of the Vehicle Code, and shall not proceed into or across the second-named or through street until he has followed all applicable requirements of that section of the Vehicle Code.
