The Village of Bloomfield installs water and sewer mains, which
results in the settling of soil after the project is backfilled.
Settlement of soil after installation of sewer/water lines will
be addressed as follows:
A.
If the landowner requests, the Village Department of Public Works
(DPW) will supply topsoil and grass seed to the landowner so that
said landowner may repair the settled area; or
B.
The Village DPW will, at the landowner's request, repair the settled
area by filling the affected area with topsoil, seeding with grass
seed, and covering the area with straw.
