[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Bloomfield 12-2018 (Ch. 42 of the 2016 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The purpose of this chapter is to regulate the work hours of any commercial construction project (not homeowner), so as to minimize the inconvenience to neighboring property owners when it comes to excessive noise.
The Village Board of the Village of Bloomfield authorizes the Code Enforcement Officer to monitor and enforce this chapter.
A.
The Village Board establishes the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, as the outside work hours for all commercial construction projects during the September through May time period. Summer (June, July and August) evening hours may be extended to 8:00 p.m. as the CEO deems appropriate.
B.
No outside site work or any other noisy, loud or disruptive work is permitted on Sunday.
C.
The CEO will provide a copy of this chapter to the developer/contractor during the permit process, to avoid any misunderstanding or misinterpretation.
D.
Special exceptions may be approved by the Code Enforcement Officer.
