It is the intent of this article to maintain a well-informed
Town Board to assist it in its legislative, appropriating, governing
and policy determining functions by requiring the Supervisor to provide
the Town Board with reports concerning the conduct of the official
business of the Town and the performance by Town officers and employees
of their functions, powers and duties.
This article is adopted pursuant to New York State Town Law
§ 51, Subdivision 3, which authorizes the Town Board to
require "reports from the supervisor concerning the conduct of the
official business of the town and the performance by town officers
and employees of their functions, powers and duties."
