A. Sections
24-120 through
24-123 were adopted October 3, 2023, by Local Law No. 18-2023. It became effective January 1, 2024.
B. The Town
Board has not appointed a full-time Comptroller and several staff
positions are vacant.
C. The Town Board desires to suspend the requirements for fiscal impact as enumerated in §§
24-120 through
24-123 adopted October 3, 2023, by Local Law No. 18-2023 until such time as the Comptroller's Office is fully staffed by the determination of the Comptroller.
D. Upon meeting conditions contained in §
24-113C, the Comptroller shall review and make recommendation to the Board on the policy before implementation.
If the estimate or estimates in a financial impact statement
are inaccurate, such inaccuracy shall not affect, impair or invalidate
the underlying resolution, ordinance or local law.
