It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to enter in or upon or to pass through, over or across with any horse, team, automobile or other motor vehicle, any street, avenue, carriageway or thoroughfare in process of paving or repairs under the authority or direction of the City of Kingston or of the City Engineer of said City, whether such work is being done directly by the City or by any contractor or by anyone in its employ, provided said street, avenue, carriageway or thoroughfare shall be closed by the authority or permission of said City or of said City Engineer and distinctly marked by a sign "Street Closed," or other equivalent notice to the traveling public.
Any person willfully violating the provisions of § 355-29 hereof shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
This article shall take effect immediately upon its publication once in the official papers of the City.
