The position of Dogcatcher of the Borough of Conway is hereby created, the holder of said office to be under the jurisdiction of the Mayor.
The Dogcatcher shall be appointed by the Borough Council and shall be compensated as provided by Council.
The Dogcatcher shall:
A. 
Patrol the Borough streets, answer complaints regarding stray animals or animals causing nuisances or doing damage to personal property and make investigations warranted by the nature of the complaint.
B. 
Enforce the provisions of Chapter 61, Animals, and seize all animals within the Borough which are in violation of the provisions thereof or which are in violation of any state statutes regulating the keeping of animals, whether acting upon his own initiative or pursuant to the direction of the Conway Police Department or upon complaint of any private citizen.
